Established in 1966 – The oldest continuously operating office of medical education in the United States
OMERAD—the Office of Medical Education Research and Development—is a unit within the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. It was the first academic unit established when the College was formed in 1966. Its mission is to improve medical education and related service programs through program evaluation and learner assessment, educational development, educational technology, and research in those three areas.
OMERAD provides services to CHM faculty and staff in the areas of educational development, evaluation and assessment, and educational technology.
